How You Can Help
Donate
Your contributions directly support our beloved animals. Every dollar helps to cover the essentials: veterinary care, farrier services, medications, equipment, and, most critically, feed.
Why Hay Matters: Did you know that hay is one of our largest expenses? Each year, our equines consume more than $20,000 worth of hay alone! This lifeline provides vital nourishment, and without it, we couldn’t give these animals the care they deserve.
By donating today, you’re not just giving money; you’re giving equines a fresh start. With your support, we can keep our sanctuary a safe, nurturing place for every equine who comes to us in need.
Make Your Contribution Count: Your donation is 100% tax-deductible, and contributions of $250 or more will receive a tax receipt for your records. As a federally registered nonprofit (EIN #27-0939854, Washington State Charity #23520), Equine Aid adheres to all charitable guidelines.
Join us in making a real difference. Every donation, big or small, helps us save and transform lives.
Thank you for helping us continue this important work!
Volunteer
We need your help! Volunteers at Equine Aid make a difference in the lives of formerly slaughter-bound, neglected or unwanted horses.
Our Current Volunteer Needs
Cleaning stalls and paddocks, cleaning tack, grooming horses and help with events! We appreciate your suggestions as well as your assistance. All volunteers are encouraged to get to know our horses. Our horses are trained and ridden using natural horsemanship techniques. If you are interested in volunteering as a trainer, extensive experience is required. Our horses are only ridden by our trainers.
Equine Aid is located in Monroe, WA. We ask that volunteers commit to a minimum of two hours each week on a regularly scheduled day. Rain or shine the horses need care. We depend on trained volunteers to be here as scheduled. If you can make that commitment, we would love to have you join the team. Additionally, we do encourage volunteer applicants who are interested in fulfilling school or community-service related volunteer hours.
The minimum age for volunteers is 16 years old. No horse experience is required. Your interest in equines and their care and your willingness to learn are what matter most.
